  • Integrated Lesson 1 (Following Directions, Emotional Literacy, and Grip & Manipulation)
  • Integrated Lesson 2 (Letter Naming, Object Counting, and Hand Dominance)
  • Integrated Lesson 3 (Following Directions and Crossing Midline)
  • NC Construct Progressions and Situations Book :This book contains the required and additional progressions for Phase II Implementation of the KEA Implementation. In addition to the progressions, Situations are included which provide support in how to elicit evidence of learning within classroom learning opportunities with prompts provided and examples for interpreting evidence utilizing sample observations.

  • At-A-Glance Document with Performance Descriptors: This document contains the progressions and performance descriptors for added support in determining a learning status during instruction. It can also be used for creating flip books or check sheets for quick reference during instruction.

How do I log on to the North Carolina K-3 Formative Assessment Process Online Platform?

Teachers and administrators with existing NC K-3 FAP accounts may continue using their usernames and passwords.

Username: Your username is your current Unique Statewide Identifier (UID). Please see your LEA data manager/administrator if you do not know your UID.
Password: Set your password by clicking the “Forgot Password” option. You will then be sent an email from Implementation@TeachingStrategies.com with a temporary password and instructions to create your permanent password. The temporary password is only valid for 12 hours - you must log on and change it.
All kindergarten teachers and their principals have access to the NC K-3 Formative Assessment Process Online Platform. All other users (e.g., coaches, co-teachers, assistant principals, support staff, etc) can be added to the platform by the District Administrator using your UID as your username.

How do I make status summaries for my students, when, and for which constructs?

The 60th day of school for traditional calendar year schools for 2016-17 is November 18th and the last day to complete a Status Summary is December 2nd.

Use this document to support your work with completing Status Summaries within the NC K-3 Formative Assessment Process Online Platform for your students at the end of 60 days for each construct progression.
